.tar.gz installation in slacko 533

I am new to anything in Linux , i have gone through install , readme file for installation but they all give errors and and not descriptive
Please me in installation of .tar.gz file

We need more information. What exactly are you trying to install? Since slacko is based on Slackware, there might be a ready-made package for whatever it is.

Thanks for the reply i am unable to install any program in Slacko puppy 533
1> I have archived the .tar.gz file , read the readme/install file thoroughly but no luck.
2> Used pet maker to make pets , but no luck
3> Ultimately i have installed Firefox and Thunderbird manually .
4> Even in wine 1.5.8 the display of window program looks jaded
5> The 2fs after saving for the first time get corrupted immediately, later i copied 2fs file from USB to work
