tar Command


I think that my linux version does not contain the tar command. How can I install this command?

While that would be highly unusual, it's not impossible I suppose.

I'm going to assume that you will read that link, but basically, some more information would be useful.

What distribution are you using for a start? (perhaps put it in your profile so this doesn't need asked again).

What are the results of:
