Tails distribution changes resolution during boot and won't fully boot

Hey, complete newbie to all things Linux here and I need some help figuring out how to boot this damn thing, which I have been trying to figure out for hours. I have Tails installed to a live usb with easy2boot. When I go to boot the os off the usb drive during the middle of the loading screen with the debian version on it, it changes from full screen and some lower resolution, most likely 800x600, into a much higher resolution, potentially my monitors native resolution 1600x900. It also resizes the progress bars and test so they are much smaller and they only take up a small part of the screen in the top left at which point the boot sequence comes to a halt. I have no idea what the issue could be. Sorry if any of this doesn't make sense, but hopefully I've described the issue well enough. Would love some help, thanks in advance!

Nevermind, found a workaround by running it with virtual box in a fixed window size. If you would still like to help that would be appreciated though, would like to be able to boot directly off the usb.

Actually you see I have had enough problems on booting a linux from a usb. I tried using debian usb through unetbootin but it never booted up. However distros like ubuntu and mint never had a problem. I would suggest you to copy the image in a dvd or cd and try if you have a problem with usb.
