systemctl error after changing port on sshd

Hi, I got an error on systemctl, so it is failure to restart the ssh..here is the error when I check the status of the systemctl sshd.server.

process: 1914 execstart=/usr/sbin/sshd -D $sshd_opts (code=exited, status=255)

What should I do to kill this error.

How did you change the port? Are you using a Red Hat based distro? If so you may need to modify SELinux Booleans.

it is ubuntu 16.0.4 im executing a command vim /etc/ssh/sshd_config then change the port from 22 to 40022 the after that I press :x the restart the ssh. after rebooting, I can't connect to the server. using putty. upon checking, an error occur to the server

Did you change anything lately? Are you sure it is called sshd.server and not anything else? You might be trying to restart a phantom service there.
