System time changes when having two OS

Hi guys, I recently installed Ubuntu along with my WinXP partition. Now everytime I start my PC with Ubuntu sometimes I get the wrong time, I change the clock to the right time, but when I go to the Win partition I get the wrong time also and lets say I go back and log into my Linux partition the same problem occurs! Is there a fix for this??

Thanks..

it has to do with improperly configured system clock, UTC vs. localtime, etc. you can use the date and hwclock commands (hwclock -h for help) to change it and reset your bios hardware clock. if it doesn't "stick," there might be ubuntu scripts you have to run, or a gui somewhere. when you find it, it's easiest to set your system and hardware clocks to localtime. then it doesn't change when you reboot, and also does daylight savings.

Sorry for the mistake slackhack. I though there were different forums.

no problem, i just wanted to make sure answers to your post didn't get all split up or result in a lot of duplicated efforts.
