System says : ./make: No such file or directory

I've just downloaded powertop from this link https://01.org/powertop/sites/defaul...top-2.2.tar.gz
After I've extracted it to a folder using tar -xvzf, I've read the README file and it says that to install the program you must run three commands
./configure
./make
./make install

The first of the three runs fine but when I try to execute the second one (./make) I get the following error:

bash: ./make: No such file or directory

If u use CentOS (RHEL) type this to install make package and gcc:
Code:
yum install make gcc
If u use Debian/Ubuntu type this:
Code:
apt-get install make gcc
Hope I helped!

Best Regards!

I am reading this page now (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/ABS) so I see that there is a different build system on arch linux.

Look at the README againREADME has a mistake, that should be
Code:
./configure
make
make install
no ./ in front of make. You may need to switch to root to perform make install (using su or sudo, as appropriate).

Don't precede the second and third lines with "./".

The third line should be "sudo make install".
