System Restore, Kubuntu have an equivalent to Windows?

I finally have Kubuntu up and running the way I want to and I want to save and back it up just in case I install something I don't want and don't know how to uninstall it. In windows it is system restore. Does Kubuntu has something similar? I did a google and all the info I found was around 2 years old or older and wondering if there is a newer/easier method.

Back up your /home/user partition/directory.

Thanks, how do I go about restoring it when something goes wrong? Just paste and overwrite the folder and reboot?

There are a number of solutions to take care of that. You could use partimage, for example, which will clone your system and produce compressed images that you can simply uncompress again if you need to restore.
