System Recovery CD

My boss has asked me to find a way to make a system recovery CD(s). Is there a way to make a backup of a Linux system to CD, so that you can not only boot to the CD but also easily restore the entire system?

Take a look at partimage. You can backup your entire partitions then burn them to CD.

Maybe you can make a bootable cd out of an image of a regular Linux boot floppy, and also put an image of a computer's hard drive right after Linux is installed and configured properly on the cd. That way, if your computers are all the same, all you have to do is copy the image back to the computer.
