System freezes with multiple monitors
I have a dual boot with Windows XP and Red Hat 8.0. I have been trying to configure multiple monitors in Red Hat 8.0. I successfully got them booting seperately. In an effort to boot with them both, I messed with the XF86Config and Red Hat 8.0 automaticly launchs X graphicly.
Is there a way that I can boot to just a command line? If so, I can replace the XF86Config with my backup. Then I can further debug the two monitor setup. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Mack |
Ok
Ok, I was able to reboot and write over the old XF86Config.
I am having a hard time getting Red Hat to use multiple monitors. Everytime it trys to load up, it freezes. It can not load KDE. Is GNOME better? I am using two ATI cards both Rage 128. One AGP the other PCI. Thanks, C |
