system crashes, checking filesystems error

OS:
RedHat Linux, Kernel version 2.4.20-8.

Problem:
Some files of /boot has been deleted carelessly, so when restart computer it shows the follow error:
......................begin ..........................................
Checking filesystems
Couldn't find matching filesystems: LABLE=/boot

Give root password for maintenance.
.......................end.............................................
After entering the repair-mode, I find there're no files in /boot

How to solve this problem?

Regards

What files do you see in /boot? I have a redhat box at work which I can do a 'ls' and show you what I have. You are most likely missing files that are critical for the boot sequence to load.
