"system" command in matlab failed

I'm running a Matlab code in Linux.
At the line where it copies a template file, which is stored in other user's folder,
it is paused. My access to this file is possible, -rw-r--r--.

In the matlab code,
[succ,msg] = system(cat(2,'cp ',file_name,' ',file_tmp_gz));
this is the line where it is paused.

The weird thing is that, when I just try
system(cat(2,'cp ',file_name,' ',file_tmp_gz))
this is working,

or, when I type cp file_name in terminal,
it is also working.

The same matlab code is working in other user's computer(this is not the owner of the template.), but not in mine.

What would be a possible reason?

Thank you

@OP: Can you provide the solution so that others can also benefit from it?

Anyway: Thread taken of the zero-reply list.

I revised my configuration file, /cshrc in my /home directory.

alias cp 'cp -i'

==> alias cp 'cp -f'
