system clock,hardware clock
 
I have a linux server in US which is about 18 hours behind India Standard Time(IST). I want to set the time zone of my linux mandrake server to IST so that my system time synchronize with my zone time..

Please help me how to do that..

I am also confused about the hardware clock and system clock

I googled it and found http://www.linuxsa.org.au/tips/time.html but I was not able to understand much from this..

Please help

What distro are you using? !

Both the links above contain very useful, but distro specific, information. We can't can't help you properly w/o that info.
