Question Syntax for /etc/X11/xdm/Xservers file

When I was using SuSE 9.1, there was an option to start a new KDE session via the "Start New Session" link on the k menu. This would bring up another X session, usually mapped to tty8 (CTRL + ALT + F8) or something similar. I found that to enable this, you have to edit the file '/etc/X11/xdm/Xservers' file and add some other lines so that KDE would see this and provide the link. I searched and searched, and I found 40 different ways on the syntax of the file. Can anyone provide a correct syntax of what these extra lines should look like? I know it's something like this(which I currently have on my system):
:0 local /usr/X11R6/bin/X :0 vt7
:1 local /usr/X11R6/bin/X :1 vt8
:2 local /usr/X11R6/bin/X :2 vt9
I have tried many of the variations on this that I have found(e.g. a "local@tty7" in the place of "local") but nothing has worked so far. I'm using the latest version of, but it never worked before when I was using Xfree86 4.4. I'm using Archlinux with kernel 2.6.6.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I'm running Mandrake 10.0 and my file shows
:0 local /usr/X11R6/bin/X -deferglyphs 16
:1 local reserve /usr/X11R6/bin/X :1 vt8 -deferglyphs 16
:2 local reserve /usr/X11R6/bin/X :2 vt9 -deferglyphs 16
:3 local reserve /usr/X11R6/bin/X :3 vt10 -deferglyphs 16
:4 local reserve /usr/X11R6/bin/X :4 vt11 -deferglyphs 16
:5 local reserve /usr/X11R6/bin/X :5 vt12 -deferglyphs 16
As for the part, my understanding is that right now the code is pretty much the same as the XFree86 4.4 code (if I'm wrong on this, someone please correct me)
