Syncing evolution calendar with google

I was hopping somebody here can help me out with this. This is what I did.

I went to

New>Calendar>

type: google
name : Personal
Username: my google username
refersh: 30min
Calendar: I clicked retrieve list and selected my calendar.

Then when I click OK it say calendar is not marked for offline usage. But when I check it out it says that its it marked with a check in a greyed out box.

Anybody have a solution thanks

I have a local Evolution calendar, as well as a Korganizer calendar on a different computer, synced with my Google calendar using the iCal link provided at the Google calendar site.

As near as I have been able to find out (maybe someone will come along and enlighten me if I'm wrong), Google's syncing is one way. My Google can update my local calendars, but they cannot update Google's calendar.

There is third-party software that promises to enable two-way syncing, but I've never tried it:
