sXid problem...
 
Im havin problems on installing sXid!It says no gcc,no cc, and no path for cc $PATH...

Dont know what to do guys...anybody help!!!

type this in terminal and post output:

gcc -v

i installed gcc earlier and made it w/o dependencies..d problem is it still looks for some files...now,im trying to install gcc with its dependencies,but my problem is that i cant find the kernel-headers rpm for the installation.

Red Hat 9...im really having a very hard time finding the right kernel-header for my distro!cnt find it in the cd!Can i know what version i need to use?

uname -r
will tell you what kernel version your using...
but it is on your cds, or at least it should
so in the terminal type:
redhat-config-packages
and a screen will prompt you asking for root password, then it will show the package screen....then you will go install the development packages ...

the redhat-config-packages.. command not found..
