Switching over
OK. I've had it with Win 2K and I'm seriously considering the switch to Linux. I am not a technical person, really just a user. And I don't want to lose MS Word, Excel, Outlook Express and the rest of my MS Office suite. How stupid am I?

very intelligent, au contraire. :)
u can use the openoffice suit for all that. start off with a user friendly distro like redhat/mandrake. 9i started with redhat) |
umm, its not really alllll that easy, either ... but we're here. :)
|
just get openoffice, you'll never miss them www.openoffice.org

Defenitlly worth the switch Open Office is identical to MS Office and will open all it's files. It comes with RedHat. along with everything else you will ever need. You should try a live ver. first so you can get the feel for linux. Knoppix is good, As long as your cdrom isn't to slow. Keep in mind RH and Mandrake come with alot more software pre-installed.

If you're worried about the MS Office products, try Open Office on Windows to get the feel.
