switch from Fedora to Slack?
I've been using Fedora core 1 for a few months now, primarily to wardrive and
a) am comfortable enough with the CLI b) want to trim a bit of the OS overhead / unused packages c) want to try something new so I'm considering Slack, but I'm planning on installing alot of 3rd party software and hardware drivers, some of which come in rpm form only (apparently) so: How does Slackware handle rpm's ? Does Slack 9.1 come with linux-wlan included? Anyone got any tips re configuring Slack with madwifi or hostap? thanks |

Slack DOESN'T create an rpm database of the installed packages. You could use aliend to convert the rpms to tgzs, though Quote:
Code:
[tink@diggn:~]$ less /cdrom/slackware/n/wir Quote:
