I have Storm Linux, which comes with the KDE desktop; however, there are Gnome applications in the package. How do I switch to the Gnome desktop?

As the web tells me that Storm is based on Debian, go to your package manager (in Debian, it's Synaptic) and search for Gnome. You should be able to install it from there.

You will likely find a number of entries referring to Gnome--you may have to read a bit to find out which one installs the full Gnome desktop.

The web tells me that Storm Linux was discontinued about 15 years ago.

Where did you find this Storm Linux you're using? Have you been using is for 15 years?

You might want to look into switching distributions

Obviously lots of threads on here to look at, but also a website I would recommend..

That will show you the "major" distributions, based on popularity, stability, downloads, support, etc. Also, when you take a look at the (huge) list of distributions on that site, you may realize that a distribution can suite exactly what you want and the hardware you want. If you would like aid in selecting a GUI/Desktop Manager and distribution type, it would be most helpful if you could post your hardware specs here. KDE and even Gnome3 may be a bit "heavy" and slow depending on your system, and no one likes bad performance.
