Swapping Hardrives - Changing GRUB
I managed to install Suse onto my primary master which also includes Win98. This works fine with Grub as the bootloader on a Floppy.
This HD is usually the Secondary Master but I had to move it to allow my CD drive to go into my laptop. I usually have a HD with XP as my Primary Master.
I want to move the Suse and Win98 HD back to being the Secondary Master and my laptop would have no CD but would have a floppy to run Grub.
When I move the Suse HD to be the Secondary Master, the word GRUB appears and then it does nothing as I guess the config is pointing to the HDD that used to be the Primary Master.
How can I configure Grub with Suse up and running as Primary Master and then power down, move the HDDs around and then get Grub to boot to Suse from the floppy? Sorry if a little complicated, I want to keep the MBRs on the HDs straight Windows.
My laptop bios allows me to select the boot media at startup - Primary, Secondary or Floppy.
Thanks!
