swap


sorry for asking such a silly question but i didnt get the answer of it
as far as i know swap is something like ram for windows(i think)
now heres the problem i am facing
my linux has started hanging
i dont know if my swap partition is sufficient
here is what i got on typing free
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 247184 242860 4324 0 10028 123688
-/+ buffers/cache: 109144 138040
Swap: 522104 9448 512656

that output look ok
don't think lack of swap is the trouble
