SUSE10.1 : bash query : saving input to file

Can anyone advise me of a script or command that would allow me to save typed commands from my command line buffer into a file so I could view at a later date.

May sound mad but curious to see if it was viable?

Bash maintains a history of commands in your home directory. It' .bash_history (on my system). It's a rolling history, meaning the oldest commands roll out as new commands roll in.

To see the history, in a terminal, type history and press enter.

By default 1000 commands are stored in .bash_history!
I feel its quite a number.
