I get this error message.

" there was an error setting up inter-process communication for kde.
the message returned by the system was could not read network connection list.
//.DCOPserver_linux_0"
please check DCOpserver is running

I've never seen the problem but a long time ago I had a problem with the "my regular user account" so I logged in as root and then deleted my "corrupted account", then I re-created it and all went "back to normal".

Hope this helps.

Rick
