suse server login problem
hello room!
can anyone please help me solve this problem that I have with suse server9. I have created a regular username "solix" and when I try to login at kde with the " solix" I get this error message. " no write access to $Home directory (/)" kde unable to start " there was an error setting up inter-process communication for kde. the message returned by the system was could not read network connection list. //.DCOPserver_linux_0" please check DCOpserver is running configuration file " //.kde/share/config/ksplashrc " not writable " //.kde/share/config/kdeglobals " not writable thank you |
I've never seen the problem but a long time ago I had a problem with the "my regular user account" so I logged in as root and then deleted my "corrupted account", then I re-created it and all went "back to normal".
Hope this helps. Rick |
