SUSE related to faillog commad
 

I am try to assign max reset login count to user then check it on Suse 10 m/c but changes are not reflected properly.

I add the statement in etc/pam.d/sshd file
auth required pam_tally.so no_magic_root
account required pam_tally.so deny=1 no_magic_root
(i am not sure )

Problem is it not block user account after reset login max count
please help me on this issue

doesnt look like faillog is getting updated on my SLES install.
Probably half your problem.....
