SUSE Linux on 32 bit system?

I got iso image for SUSE Linux 11.0 but when i tried to install, it gave me error that my system is 32 bit whereas the software is for 64 bit. How can u find the bit for a system before downloading a OS installer in both Linux and Windows environment?
Is there 32 bit SUSE Linux installer available? or which flavor or Linux is good for 32 bit?

Of course there is a 32 bit version of SUSE available. When you go to the opensuse website they will have a button or something so you can get the 'i386' version which is the 32 bit version. There are many good distributions of linux - to find the one that is for you you'll need to try them all! Good starting points are Debian, Fedora and SuSE.
