suse linux installation
 
hi i'm another person who is willing to migrate from, windows to linux.Recently i tried installing suse linux 10.1
on my clone pc(cyrix mboard,666mhz, 128mb ram).the problem is that after installing the computer hangs with an x displayed on screen.i've tried reinstalling linux several times but the closest i've come to see linux work was the login but linux hanged before i could type in my password.
i've read the installation manual several times that i now know it offhead.what i'm i doing wrong. conrad

You don't have enough RAM to run Suse. It needs least 256 Mb, 512 Mb is recommended.

Either increase the amount of RAM you have or try another distro.

You don't say how big you hard drive is. Xubuntu or Zenwalk will work on 128Mb - but will need 2-3Gb of space.
