SuSE Install - replace Windows?

I want to install SuSe Linux 9 on my WindowsME PC.

I know from the literature that SuSE guides you through the process of setting up a dual boot. However, can I just replace/overwrite Windows completely with SuSE? Is it simple to do?

Or do I have to delete everything on my hard drive first, then install SuSE Linux. I'm trying to simplify my life...I have no need for Windows.

Wiping out everything on your HD is easy. Mandrake has an option on install stating "erase entire disk". I'd imaginne Suse may have something similar. If you have no need for windows, give it a go....

Good luck!

hehe, the hard part for some less-experienced users can sometimes be "keeping things from getting damaged"...

but your case is not so. just give it a go! you can't damage anything!

there should be something like "use full hard-drive" or, like duffboygrim said, "erase entire disk" or something.

it should appear while partitioning the disk

have fun.
