Suse install help PLEASE

Ok i tried doing it from the FTP. That failed. So i downloaded the entire suse stuff from a FTP it took like 2 days. So i tried to install it through harddisk that also failed since it would just keep going back to the screen before. So any sugestions on how to get Suse to install would be really really really helpful.

I just recently installed SuSE 8.2 from FTP and that took about 2-3 hours. Install was fine. What errors/problems are you getting? What were your successful steps in the FTP install? Little more descriptive detail on what you did and what error you got could help us help you....

Well the ftp server install gave me a error like Cannot connect to FTP server. I think i did it wrong but thats not the problem im haveing now. See i download all the Suse parts and put it on my Windows XP partion so i could do a install off the hard disk. When i try to do the install from hard disk i have 3 options to choose from to install and that is from a CD, Network, or Harddisk. So i choosed hard disk then i choose medium to be my NTFS partion. Then i put the path as C:/suse witch would be where my folder is. Then it kicks me back to the choose medium part.

Hmm, as far as installing SuSE off hard-drive, I can't be much of help as I have only done it now through FTP. If you take the FTP route and encounter any problems, let me know and i'll tell you what I did to achieve the installation. Good luck....
