SUSE Gets struck while install

My HDD was a barracuda 129gb IDE..It was recently burnt due to some reason and I had it replaced to have a new hdd of the same type.I loaded windows xp into it and then downloaded the opensuse 10.2 from suse site..and burnt it with the slowest speed possible..2x
I have only 1 hdd and a dvd writer and a dvd rom. the channel 0 master is the hdd and the channel 1 master is the writer and the channel 1 slave is the dvd rom.
I downloaded both the 64 bit and the 32 bit suse.I have an athlon64 3000+ machine and an msi rs480m2 m/b whose chipset is ATI ixp200 and in both the dvd s the installation gets stuck while trying to load the msi ATI ixp ide controller
"loading atiixp_"
it gets struck in this message..I have tried for 30 mins but it does not change..
plz tell me if any more info is needed..I urgently need to install suse as I have to practice java and oracle in linux for my campus interview..starting soon..
PLZZ help!!!
