Suse Boot Loader
For some reason or another my xp cd is not working on my new computer so I installed my copy of suse 9.3 and have come across a really annoying problem.
Every time I restart it gives me a graphics file is missing in my boot loader. It requires me to boot from the cd and this takes 5 - 10 minutes every time. I repaired the bootloader from the install disk but it still does the same thing. I have installed this os a few times on my old computer and never had this problem before. Should I re-download the os and burn it to new cds or what should I do to fix said problem? |
check the grub.conf file. It is located in /boot/grub directory. See what file it points to where it says splashimage. See if that file exists or if there is something wrong with it.
