i want to know how to open it on a terminal...or get it to open with a GUI using a command line

my post above gives a hint...

type the name of the browser in a command line, if it's in your path it will execute, echo $PATH shows your path, without knowing which browser is installed i cant tell you the command for definate, theres no 'browser' command as such.

i think some distros use the $BROWSER variable so
