SuSE 9.3 Pro Upgrade to existing 9.2 - Buggy KDE & XTERM Behavior

I upgraded my 9.2 SuSE Pro last night and am going through the new 9.3 desktop functions, downloaded the recommended patches including multimedia.

When I start a new task or double click an icon, my EVO N800V P4 2.0ghz notebook shows an outline of the next popup.....however, I must "right click" this outline in order to get the full display - it looks like a blank MS Word Table with 3 columns and 3 large lines.

How can I eliminate this? I have some support time and will also contact Novell, but I figured that I would post my problem here.

My 9.2 did not behave like this: if a new icon or link was selected and double click it went into full display.
