Suse 9.2 wireless usb

I just installed Suse 9.2 and was told it hsould be automatically recognizing my USB wireless adapter. Well, it didnt. All I have in ifconfig is eth0 (nic) and lo. What can I try? Manually configging hasnt done it apparently

I'm getting to like YaST lately...

Is it listed in "devices to configure" when you look in Yast-->Network Devices-->Network Card?

hi. i'm facing the problem too. Just install suse 9.2 profession from CD. I am using a linksys wusb54GP and it does not recognise it either. a friend tried using a pmcia card (older linksys 11B) and had no problems although it seems that he had to re-start suse before it 'sees' it.

however, when i plug it directly into the linksys router via network cable, i had no problems. did not even have to use YOU to configure. truly plug and play

if anythere can help.. it'll be great. Thanks!

Well its probley either your bios lacks good usb support, or the usual SuSE, which has the worst USB i've ever seen. I have a friend who can't get his usb device recognized either. SuSE really needs to get USB working right, because i'm sick of USB dieing for no reason with usb sticks!
