Suse 9.2 Pro graphics install

I was installing suse 9.2 pro on one of my old boxes, an HP pavillon celeron. Since I am new to linux I figure I can keep my good copmuter on an OS i know and experiment on the bad computer. Anywho, it uses onboard graphics only. When I was installing, all the text on all the screens was incrdibly blurry and pixellated to where I couldn't read it. I knew the jist of what was going on and kept pressing next. I'd like to rectify this problem so I can pick exactly what I am doing... Any ideas?
