SUSE 9.2 Mini Iso

rite i have downloaded the mini iso and burnt it to a cd, so i put it in my laptop it loads up gives you a few choices so i select installation, it goes off and says loading hardware or sumthing like that,

then it comes to another screen saying please make sure cd 1 is inserted, so i just click ok and it say cd1 cant be found, please use manual installation

so i follow the instruction and get to the main menu. so i click on start installion select network, then select FTP, i fill all that in and it finds the server, then it cums bk sayin there isnt enough memory to perform the installtion u will have to create sum swap partition so i click ok and it comes up with a box askin where the swap space is so what do i put in here? i have tried hda,1,2,3,4, and so on

the hard disk has had everything erased , then i made a little partition (100mb) and formated that with fat32 and it still wont find it so wot do i do now?

do i need to format the partition sum how? and with wot file system?

SuSE bitches about alot of hardware, so that COULD be your prob, but I doubt it

How big is your Harddrive you should at least have a /boot, /root and /swap partition

swap should be at least double your ram, 100mb will do you nothing

fat32 is a windows filesystem, I use ext3, I believe SuSE uses reiserfs by default.

SuSE is only 1 disc, just dl the whole thing it not worth the ftp install.
