SuSE 9.2 Installation Issues

I have been running Mandrake 10.0 for the past few months and have decided to upgrade to SuSE Pro 9.2. When I boot from the CD and choose installation, it goes through and loads some stuff into a ram drive etc and then tries to load the GUI installation. When this happens, all I get is a little silver/grey strip up the top of the screen and I cannot see anything. Is there anyway to run the installation in a very basic GUI mode or text mode only? Or has someone come across this problem and know a fix for it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I just put a different video card in the PC and bingo ... it's working! Have no idea what the problem may be but if anyone else has this problem and has a spare or old video card lying around, it may do the trick.

You could try to set a different resolution on the first installation screen (where you choose the mode of installation. Or try text-based installation and configure your graphics later.
