I have tried to install Suse 9.2 Pro pn my work station PC. The PC is an AMD 2400 Dual processor machine. I have Suse 9.0 Pro pn it presently. I wanted to do ao fresh install. I was albe to boot the CD just fine and able to select 'Installation' for the first screen. But when the screen appeared asking for me to select my language...I had NO mouse and NO keyboard. BTW they are PS2. I tried to boot with a serial mouse and it worked fine until I got to the area (password) where I had to use the keyboard. What's the cause of no keyboard/mouse?

I can't tell you why but with Suse 9.2 some keyboards especially "designed" for windows don't work after Suse kernel started.
It aappened to me some weeks ago with a fresh installation on a new machine.
I change the keyboard with another and that did the trick.

I thought the same...therefore I too used a different keyboard...a basic PS2. And nothing. Remember not even the mouse worked. It work fine with SUSE 7.3, 8.0, and 9.0. I have since tried SUSE 9.1 and the problem exist there too. ALL of this on the same machine. What gives?
