Suse 9.1 Resources
Hi,
i run Suse 9.1 Pro and i think iīm running too many services or background apps. In KDE Systen Guard i see that i run 91 processes at boot time. How i can see which ones are useful and which are unneeded? How can i see the startup list of programs? Another question, how can i see a graph of my cpu and ram usage? There is a program, i saw a screenshot but i donīt know the name. Of course i donīt mean the graphs of KDE Sytem Guard. Thanks!!! |
The program you are referring to is Gkrellm. It rules.
Useful is a relative word. It depends on what services you need/want. Google them by name to see what they do. The YaST Control Center has a tab for runlevels, which should list what services start by default in each runlevel. |
