Suse 9.1 pro networking help

Just installed suse 9.1 pro and i cannot connect to the internet, previously i had suse 9.0 and had no problems with the internet settings cos 9.0 did it for me.

I have configured the network device(not sure if its properly), my computer is connected through a gateway then to the adsl modem, the other computers in my network are connected to the net but mine isnt, and i cant even view their files through samba......
Any help that you could give me would be fantastic

It looks like suse used ipv6 as a default, You could try to get that working, or dump it and use ipv4. This is from the suse site.

Looks like it didn't take, the output is identical. Did you restart the network services, or reboot the machine since you made the changes? If you did we're going to have to try something else, If you haven't, then try that, then please post just the output from lsmod, and ifconfig -a. Just so you know, I'm looking at the output to see if the ipv6 module has been removed, and if your eth0 interface will accept a standard ipv4 address.
