Exclamation SuSE 9.1 Personnel, Missing Make File

I've been trying to install anything on SuSE 9.1 Personnel however after running the ./Configure I get a message warning me that I have no Make file. From what little I understand I need that inorder to complete the installation. I saw something somewhere about the Binary Library being missing. Can anyone give me some advice here?

Hi FireBug, welcome to lq. Have you tried installing any rpm's, as suse is an rpm based distro? Are you certain you have the development packages installed?
good luck.

Suse 9.1 Personal doesnt come with that, because they stripped it down to install off a cd. But you can git yer make and gcc rpm's here:
ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/ftp...9.1/suse/i586/
