Exclamation Suse 9.1 Personal and Install of gcc.

I have done several searchs and learned tonight gcc isnt included in 9.1 personal.

So I downloaded

gcc-3.3.3-41.i586.rpm

glibc-devel-3.3.3-98.i586.rpm

cpp-3.3.3-41.i586.rpm

libgcc-3.3.3-41.i586.rpm

I installed all the rpm got no depences errors and I still can't complie anything. Everytime I try and type make. Its still comming up Unknown Command. Can someone point out to me what I am doing wrong here or point me to a Tut that will assist me in getting gcc install on sus 9.1

The make program isn't part of gcc, it's part of the make package:

Make-3.80

The Make package contains a program for compiling large packages.
Required disk space: 8.8 MB
Make installation depends on: Bash, Binutils, Coreutils, Diffutils, GCC, Gettext, Glibc, Grep, Sed

BTW: GCC 3.3.3 is a part of the Suse 9.1 Personal edition. It could be that it isn't installed by default, but it is there!

Suse gcc 3.3.3 http://www.suse.com/en/private/produ...sonal/cpp.html

Hope this helps.
