Suse 9.1
Is SUSE 9.1 available to download? When I went through the ftp site, there's the src folder and the i586 folder. Will the i586 work on an AMD 950mhz cpu? And what is a rpm file? Is it a compressed file that I need to open with some sort of program? If so, what program do I need to use? Sorry if I sound dumb. :o

dunno if it's available for download yet. http://www.suse.com will tell you that. it should run fine on your 950mhz...
rpm stands for Redhat Package Manager, a type of file system that suse uses now too for installing and upgrading and stuff...i find it really easy to use. |
If you FTP your way to ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/9.1/README.txt you will see this...
