Suse 9.0 dual boot WIN XP

Ok, I had Win XP on my computer and decided to install SUSE 9.0. I have the 64 bit edition since I do have an Athlon 64 3200+ processor. I installed SUSE and can only get it to load from the DVD because if I try to boot from the Hard Drive all I get is a GRUB Geom Error. I did install SUSE on the same HD as Win xp, but a different partition. So now I am stuck in Linux, which is not particularly a bad thing, but I need to access things from Windows and just want to get this figured out... thanx in advance. I will provide as much info as I can if you need something.

Why not install grub to your MBR and use it to choose what you want to boot into??

GRUB is on here... it gives me a GRUB Geom Error when I try to boot from the HD... I am not confident in the commands either to do the insalling without some help.

When I had this problem, I found out that the mbr was corrupt. I booted windows from the install cd an chose r at the console. When the command line came up I used "FIXMBR" enter. I did it three consective times just to make sure it went through. It worked. I was able to get back to windows. Hope this helps.
