suse 8.2 setup New install on 2nd drv w/ dualboot WinXP
 

I am new to linux, I am installing Suse 8.2 per,. on My XP machine on a 2nd drive. I would like to use the windows bootloader to ask me which system I want to start up each time I boot. I just don't know how to do this.

You should read this to see how you can accomplish what you want. Note that in your case it's /dev/hdb the device (the disk) with linux, so take care about this when you're gonna run the dd command.
