SuSe 6.3 help updating kernel
I am desperate to get rid of windows but first need to get NIC working with SuSE 6.3. I need to get 2.2.5 kernel as Netgear fa311 driver says thats what it wants but I run out of space when "tarring" I only have 1.2mb hard drive (Wedding coming up not allowed to buy new computer yet!!)
Is there a way of updating the kernel without using so much space or am I doing something wrong.. This is what I have been doing... I have approx 400mb left on HD Download tar.gzip in Windows Mount windows partiion copy file to /usr/src/ rename it from linux-2_2_5_tar.gz to linux-2.2.5.tar.gz rm linux gunzip linux-2.2.5.tar.gz tar -xvf linux-2.2.5.tar then runs out of space |
