Suse 2000

i have a Win 2000 machine.I tried to install Suse 9.1 personal
but it only asked me to choose the main partion and it automatically
choose the Swap Partition which was a partion with some important file
& i lost the files but luckly i have a back-up.
And then i found that it does not have the multi-boot feature like
that of Mandrake 10.1.Due to which i was not able to load my win 2000.

Pls tell me how to install suse so that i can choose the primary &
swap partition & will be able to use my win 2000 also.

I'm really not sure about SuSE 9.1, but I do know that 9.2 allows you to multi-boot. I'm guessing earlier versions must allow for the same, as well. I read all your post above, but am still confused by a few things. When you were offered the opportunity to resize your current partition, did you choose that option? Also, where did you place your MBR?

But later, i installed Mandrake and it went smoothly, but for some reason i don't feel comfortable with it.

For those attempting to dual boot with Suse 9.1, it is very important to read this prior to starting -
