suse 11.4 + navidia chipsets

Hello all,
this is a rewording of a previous question. Iam now writing on an installed copy of suse 11.4 using a micro star board (K9VGM-V) but on two other boards both using nvidia chipsets (GForce 7025/nForce 630a and GForce 6150 SE/nForce 430, respectively) neither will run the original live cd unless I use "ctl+Alt+f1". So how do I install the live cd from the shell and will updates automatically take care of the graphics?
If not, then is there some commandline wizardry that will? Please note that the nvidia chipsets happily run 11.3 but it runs out in Jan.

Any help much appreciated,

Fred.

Not a direct answer...

You may not be able to install the openSUSE 11.4 live-cd on your problem boards without a cheatcode to get you to live console mode, but if you were to try to install from the DVD, you might be able to use the command "modprobe vesa" or "modprobe nv" in console mode to select the vesa or nv driver in the hope that one of them will get your graphics working.

You could also try this with the live-cd, but I like the DVD.
