Suse 10 user in need of assistance

I am uber brand new to the linux family and it has been a little bit of a struggle to get use to, but I am determined. I want to be able to get the Win32 codecs on my system, but I am not exactly sure how to do so. I've got the site to go to, I just am very new to actually typing in commands and such, I just want to know what to do once I get the files. Thanks

Go to Packmans website and download the rpm. Install it using rpm e.g.
Code:
#rpm -Uvh nameOfRPM.rpm

Search google for "packman rpms", you may find a working mirror.

Packman rpm's can be installed through YaST. All you need to do is to add a packman server to your installation sources. Try (as root):

Code:
installation_sources -a http://packman.iu-bremen.de/suse/10.0
Now you should be able to search and install any packman-package through the YaST module "Install and Remove Software".
