Suse 10 freezing during installation

I've been trying to install Suse 10 for a while now. I'm trying to install it on my spare celeron 600 Mhz computer with 384 mb of ram (It's a HP comp). The installation goes fine but at the last or second last stage where it's detecting hardware (printer, monitor, etc) it freezes. I've tried many times but it freezes all the time at the stage.

Anyone know why?

Thanks in advance

Do you have any of the hardware connected at the time it starts?
Maybe you could make sure only the basics are connected (mouse, keyboard etc...).

However the main problem may actually be the disk itself; there may have been a corruption occur in the download process.

SuSe does have a disk checker when you boot, which will tell you if the md5sum is what it should be. Other than that, check the website for system requirements and check your computer meets the necessary and minimum requirements.

Let me know how it goes, good luck

Most likely Graphic card detection problem. What card is that?

It's a build in card, Intel 82810

Hmmm, usualy all Intel graphic cards are handled quite good.
Try running failsafe and then invoke sax2
