Suse 10-64bit-OSS. Can't get Firefox to recognise Realplayer is installed

I've installed Realplayer 10 in /home/usr/local (not sure where else to install programs) using YaST.

When I visit BBC News website to view video clips in using the realplayer plugin, Firefox tells me I need to install plugins. How can I tell Firefox that Realplayer is already installed?

ln -fs /home/<urname>/RealPlayer/mozilla/ /opt/firefox/plugins/

ln -fs /home/<urname>/RealPlayer/mozilla/nphelix.xpt /opt/firefox/plugins/nphelix.xpt

change the directories to urs, but this should fix it
