Supported Joystick Listing

Hi,

Is there a listing anyplace for joysticks that are known to work well with Linux (something like the listings for soundcards and other hardware devices)?

I'm playing my old-time favorite arcade games in xmame on the keyboard and it's getting cumbersome. I'd like to add a joystick and maybe a trackball (for Missle Command, Millipede, and Tempest!!!!) to my system. This is just the beginning of the adventure. : )

Thanks.

I bought a genreic walmart usb gamepad works for me. You need the joydev module loaded. game port joysticks might be trickyer. I had a ms sidewinder gameport joystick took awhile to get working a few searches of google fixed that.
